Mold In A Wall Cavity

Water leakage caused the dormant mold spores to develop into large mold colonies along this wall. We demolished the lower two feet of the drywall after we sealed this part of the house to prevent the cross contamination of mold spores, fungi particles, and dust.

Fungi and mold naturally occur in our environment. In face over 100,000 kinds of fungi have been identified. Fungi produce some very useful results. Even through some forms of mold can add value to our lives , other forms can be harmful. Excessive amounts of mold, different types of mold exposure may present health concerns for some people.  After a day, we verified that the exposed area was back to normal moisture levels, so we then buttoned up the drywall and left the challenge of taping, finishing, and painting the wall to the homeowner as per his request.
