Huge water loss at local home

Earlier this spring SERVPRO of Southwest Portland received an after-hour call regarding a home that had huge water damage. As always, SERVPRO of Southwest Portland gathered up their crew and was en route to the home. Here at SERVPRO of Southwest Portland, we understand the challenges that come along with COVID-19 to combat that our crews wear the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect our crew and customers at all times.

The source of loss came from the refrigerators ice maker line burst and affected the kitchen, dining room, living room, and family room.  The crew of professionals then had to remove laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room, living room, and family room. Then proceed to remove the base in the kitchen, dining room, living room, and wall of the family room that butts up to the kitchen. 

While onsite the crew came to the agreement that demolition was needed they had the baseboards detached, removal of the lower cabinetry, and removing underlayment and cabinets. Along with the agreement on demolition, the agreement on the drying plan came next. SERVPRO of Southwest Portland brought in three dehumidifiers and plugged them in as soon as possible to start the job.
