The more air movers the better!

Early in the summer SERVPRO of Southwest Portland received an after-hours call regarding a horrific water loss. The homeowner informed us that a pipe had burst in the upstairs bathroom and that burst caused the basement to flood. They were very shocked to find water everywhere and started to extract water using a wet vacuum.

Our crew of professionals headed out to help extract water before the call had even ended.  During the initial walk through our crew came to the conclusion that demolition was going to be needed to the affected flooring and ceiling of the downstairs hallway/entryway, bedroom, and the family room. Upstairs the baseboards behind the sink would need to be removed in addition to the vinyl flooring in the basement and affected drywall in the ceiling of the downstairs hallway.

We then brought in specialty drying equipment, air movers, and dehumidifiers in order to help speed up the drying process. Our crew was able to help get this family back to enjoying their home in only a matter of 5 days.
